That means that they were pretending to be Native Americans. They dressed like that because they wanted to be Americans too. They went to Boston Harbor. Boston Harbor is a place where ships park. The colonists called throwing the tea into the water, The Boston Tea Party. The water in the harbor looked like a big cup of tea.
