The Aztecs had a religion. They worshipped many gods.

Part of the Aztec’s religion was killing people. It was called human sacrifice.

The Aztecs biggest city was Tenochtitlan. It was built in a lake. Today it is called Mexico City.

There were pyramids in Tenochtitlan. It was a beautiful city.

The Aztecs made floating gardens. They grew food.

The Aztecs made canals. They used canoes to travel on the canals.

Spanish explorers went to Mexico in Mesoamerica. The Spanish and the Aztecs got into a big fight!
